Your Portrait Session

What to Expect

Portrait sessions can be a very enjoyable experience, and most people end up having a lot more fun than they expected they would.  You should plan on between approximately 1-2 hours of time for your session.  More time may be required if you have a large number of people and/or a number of combinations in mind. We will start our session by talking a bit about the look you would like for your portraits.  You are welcome to look at my work and tell me what appeals to you; or if you have a style in mind, bring a piece to show me and we will discuss it. 

Portraits can be shot either in my Kingston studio or on location depending on the style you’re hoping for. There are advantages to either one.  The natural light portrait sessions are ideal for folks who prefer portraiture in an outdoor setting.  You can click on the link for some great ideas of possible places to shoot in Kitsap County as well as how to Make a Day of It here.  I am also willing to come to a place that is special to you.

From a lighting standpoint, studio photography can be a way to sidestep some of the weather-related problems that can come up living in the Pacific Northwest, and most clients love the comfortable environment.  In addition to being able to choose from a wide array of backdrops and studio accessories, you are also welcome to bring anything to the studio that would make your session a more memorable experience for you, such as musical instruments, extra changes of clothes, music, etc.

Proofs

Within a week of your photo session, your proofs will be posted on my website for your personal viewing. I will provide you with a private password which you can share with whomever you like. Your proofs will stay on my website for a year. While your portraits can be printed in your choice of color, black and white or sepia, your proofs will be provided to you in color. Contact sheets will be provided if you do not have computer access.

Prints

Once you have selected your favorite images, you can select your prints by the unit, or through quantity discount packages.  Package prices allow you to save significantly while selecting several of your favorite images. Click here to see the most updated print and package prices.

Terms

• All prices are based on locations within Kitsap County. Other locations in King, Jefferson, Snohomish and Island Counties are available by quotation.
• A 8.6% State SalesTax is assessed on prints only, not on sessions.
• Session fees are due at the time of the sitting please.
• Prices are effective as of April 10 2008.
• Payment is due upon delivery of print order.
• Prices are subject to change without notice.
